We know that Device Deployment is a highly anticipated event on all our campuses. However, due to circumstances out of our control, we are ceasing deployment temporarily.
We learned Thursday, September 8, about a warning label placed on laptop bags we were issuing during Device Deployment. The label alarmed some of our parents.
The label warns that a product “contains compounds that may cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.”
As a precaution and for respect of our parents, we are recalling the bags and re-ordering news ones. Until the new bags arrive, we will not be issuing computers.
If you are a parent of a student has already received the bag - we are offering options moving forward:
Parents may continue to use the bag that was provided. No further action is needed.
Parents may return the bag that was provided and purchase their own padded computer bag for their children to use. This cost will be incurred by the parent.
