Bill Wakefield serves the students of Little Elm ISD as the district's Athletic Director. Mr. Wakefield joined the district in 1998 as the athletic director.

Mr. Wakefield began his career in 1978 as an English teacher and coach. He has also worked in Lake Travis ISD as a principal and athletic director. He is a member of Texas High School Coaches Association, Texas Athletic Directors Association and the National Association of Athletic Directors.

Mr. Wakefield earned a Bachelor's of Science degree in Education from Emporia State University and Master's of Science degree in Educational Administration from Texas State University.

He resides in Little Elm with his wife, Cindy.
