We know that Device Deployment is a highly anticipated event on all our campuses. However, due to circumstances out of our control, we are ceasing deployment temporarily.


We learned Thursday, September 8, about a warning label placed on laptop bags we were issuing during Device Deployment.  The label alarmed some of our parents.  


The label warns that a product “contains compounds that may cause cancer, birth defects, or reproductive harm.”


As a precaution and for respect of our parents, we are recalling the bags and re-ordering news ones. Until the new bags arrive, we will not be issuing computers.


If you are a parent of a student has already received the bag - we are offering options moving forward:

  1. Parents may continue to use the bag that was provided. No further action is needed.

  2. Parents may return the bag that was provided and purchase their own padded computer bag for their children to use. This cost will be incurred by the parent.

3.
Parents may return the bag that was provided and request a replacement bag be provided by the District. Requests for a replacement may be made by completing a REQUEST FORM and returning the bag to their campus librarian.
 

2016-2017 Digital Device Deployment

Student digital learning devices will be deployed in grades 4-12.
Most campuses will deploy during school.
You may pay usage fees at MySchoolBucks School Store.

Dual Credit & OnRamps

Dual Credit and OnRamps students will receive MacBooks the week of August 22 to accommodate their college-level course requirements.

Parent Information

Parents of 4th grade students will be offered an orientation to digital learning.
Orientation materials are available for students/parents new to digital learning at any grade level. Click here. 

Device Protection Fee

The Device Protection Fee covers Insurance through a preferred partner and filtered access.
 
Students in Grades 9-12 will be checked out a brand new 13" MacBook Air.
The LoboCare Device Protection Program will be $100 per device.
 
Students in Grades 4-8 will be checked out a ChromeBook.
The LoboCare Device Protection Program will be $45 per device.
 
Financial Assistance may be available.  Participation in the Federal Lunch Program alone does not automatically guarantee assistance. 
 
Once you are approved for financial assistance, you will receive an email with instructions and a validation code to receive the discounted amount.

Not Covered

LoboCare Repair Program does not cover the following:

  • Corrosion and rust

  • Cosmetic damage

  • Dishonest acts

  • Electrical breakdown (except from lightning)

  • Intentional acts

  • Mechanical breakdown

  • Theft from an unattended vehicle

  • Unexplained loss or mysterious disappearance

  • Wear and tear 
  • Lost, Stolen, Damaged Chargers

Covered

LoboCare Repair Program covers costs of repairs* for:

  • Accidental damage (drops/ spills)

  • Accidental cracked screen

  • Accidental liquid damage

  • Fire

  • Flood

  • Natural disasters

  • Power surge by lightning

  • Theft (police report must be filed)

  • Vandalism (police report must be filed)

Pay Now

In the event your district device is damaged, it must be serviced by school personnel; all devices are owned by the District and may not be serviced by third parties. In the event that repair will take more than one school day to complete, 

the District will loan the student a functional Chromebook,
if available.
